Basic Church Setup

View & Update church details

In order to get the most out of Church Dynamics, you need to keep your church details updated.

A snapshot of your church details is shown on the home page (dashboard screen), on the Banner section.  Over the Banner picture is the your church's name and address. To the right of the picture are tabs showing the following:

  • the P tab shows the Senior Pastors;
  • the C tab shows the Church Council members;
  • the F tab shows the Finance committee, and
  • the A tab shows a brief write-up about your church.
Below the Banner picture are summary blocks for :
  • the number of recorded meetings;
  • Financial status;
  • Average attendance; and
  • Salvations.
The summary blocks are auto-updated by the system using entered data.

Updating Church Details

In order to get the most out of Church Dynamics, you need to keep your church details updated.

Navigate to the Church Details Page

To update you church's details, navigate to the church details page.

From the Banner section on the dashboard, click on the Update button on the banner picture.

The Church Details section is divided into 4 categories, each represented by a seperate tab To navigate to and view/update the information sections by navigating to the relevant tab, click on the Tab name.

Updating Church Details

The Church Details tab is the default view.

Inorder to add any of the details, simply add them in the respective text input column. 

Country field, however, requires that you select from the given drop-down list (appears when you click on the country input field).

After making any changes, click on any of the two Update buttons: one at the top and the other at the bottom of the page.

Updating Pastors, Council and Finance Members

To view and update Pastors, Council or Finance Members, click on the relevant tab.

To add members to any of these tabs, first of all make sure you are on the correct tab.

Click on the 'Add' button on the top-left corner of the tab (as indicated on the image). A modal appears onto the screen.

In the Search area on the modal, start typing the person's name whilst watching the names that appear as you type. Once you see the person's name, click on it to select, then on the 'Add' button at the bottom of the modal to close it.

If, however, the person you want to add as one of the pastors, council or finance members is has not been entered into the database as yet (hence not appearing as you type in his/her name), click on the 'New Person' button. A new modal pops up, where you will be prompted to enter the person's details.

After you save the person, s/he will be automatically be added to where you initially wanted to add this person.

Remember to click on the 'Update' button at the top of the tabs (or at the bottom ofthe page) to save your changes.

Adding Statistics From the Dashboard

To add meeting statistics from the dashboard, scroll to the top of the page to the Flip Cards. Hover on (or touch) the Meetings flip card, so that it turns to reveal Add and Details links on the reverse side.

Click on the Add button. A modal window appears, and you are required to enter the relevant details:

  • Select the date of the meeting by clicking on the Calendar to the right of the date given (the current date is shown by default). Click on the date of the meeting from the calendar that appears.
  • Enter the main Speaker’s name: as you start typing the speaker’s name, the closest matches will appear. You can either finish typing the name as it appears in the database or click on the name you are looking for from the list that appears.
  • Type in the Message title or theme of the meeting.

Now add attendance figures.

For attendance, the system allows you to enter statistics in a manner relevant to the nature of the meeting as well as how you record statistics for that meeting. 

That is to say, if your records spit adults headcount into men and women, you may enter men separately from women, and the system will calculate the adults headcount for you and immediately displays it in the Adults field. You can skip the other fields that are not relevant to the particular meeting.

Tithes and Offerings

You can add tithes and offerings in any recognised currency. Different currencies are entered one different currency at a time.

First of all select which offering it is, then the currency. Enter the amount, then click the add button. A new input row will appear for you to enter more data.

Since all your inputs are listed, you can delete any entry should you notice that you have made an error. 

Once you have finished entering all details, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the modal to save your stats. The modal closes and you are notified by a pop-up whether the stats have been successfully saved or not, right as the modal closes.

To view and update Pastors, Council or Finance Members, click on the relevant tab.
